Job Descriptions
Our mission at Farm to Table Kids is to help children find what lights their heart in Nature - through regenerative gardening, farm to table cooking, and nature crafting. We spend all our days outside in the gardens, forest and fields. The crew of people that work at FTTK are like family each season - and I cannot wait to build our new summer family for this season! If you love playing with children, spending your summer days outdoors, and being inspired by Nature to help children make a sincere connection to Nature - we would love to hear from you!
The Head/Lead Camp Counselor will hold the same roles and responsibilities as Camp Counselors (please reference “Essential Functions” below), and will also be responsible for managing the Camp Counselors day-to-day operations. The Lead Camp Counselor will report to the Executive Director, and will work to ensure all the Camp Counselors know the daily lesson plan, crafts, recipes, and child’s expectations.
We spend all our days outside in nature helping children find what lights their hearts in Nature. Every day we spend time in the fields planting/harvesting, going on nature walks in the forest, and playing outside. We are looking for summer camp counselors that are inspired by the natural world, and enjoy the presence of children throughout the day. This person should have a friendly personality, enjoy being around kids, and take initiative finding fun ways to connect kids with nature through cooking, crafting and gardening.
FTTK provides the daily crafts, recipes and lessons - the Camp Counselor is the guide of the child’s experience day to day. FTTK Farm Camp hosts children ages 5-11. Age groups as follows: ages 5-6, ages 7-9, ages 10+.
